What is a Nebulizer ?
A Nebulizer is a device that converts liquid medication into fine mist. The mist is then inhaled directly to the lungs through a mouthpiece or a face mask.
Nebulizer is used for patients having lungs disorder like asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease ( COPD), cystic fibrosis or other breathing problems.
Nebulizer is easy to use for infants and patients who cannot use inhaler on their own.
Types of Nebulizer
Jet nebulizer use compressed air or oxygen to change fluid medication into aerosol(small liquid droplets) for inhalation.
Ultrasonic nebulizers uses high frequency vibration to produce aerosol.
Mesh nebulizers have a mesh with microscopic holes placed in top of the reservoir that vibrates. The vibration then cause pressure on mist to come out through those holes. This type of nebulizer are portable and comes in small size.
How to Use Nebulizer?

How to Sterilize Nebulizer?
Like cleaning, proper sanitation of nebulizer is also crucial to prevent bacteria entering through your mouth.
Neutral electrolyzed water “Meau” is highly effective in sanitizing and deodorizing nebulizer.
Meau is produced from electrolyzing salt and water only hence, is bio friendly and causes no harm or irritation to children and adults.
Here is how you can sanitize your nebulizer using Meau:
- Prepare a container large enough to sink mouthpiece and cup.
- Pour enough Meau in the container.
- Sink medicine cup and mouthpiece or mask in container for 30 seconds.
- Take it out and let air dry.
- Spray Meau in the surface of compressor and wipe with a clean paper towel.
Before applying Meau, make sure you wash and rinse your nebulizer to get the best result.
